ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Rules of Procedures and Privileges on Tuesday was apprised that departments and organisations concerned had reinstated sacked employees in accordance with the committee directions according to the Sacked Employees (Reinstatement) Act 2010. The senate body reviewed the privilege motion moved by Senator Raza Rabbani in the session held on April 17, 2009, on the refusal by heads of various departments to reinstate the affected employees in defiance to the law promulgated in 2009. Representatives of the Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL), the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL), the Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL), the Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL), the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan apprised the committee about the reinstatement of sacked employees.
