State life reinstated 170 sacked employees

ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday reinstated 339 employees out of 513 from Pakistan International Air Lines (PIA) and State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC), who were sacked during 1996-98. Federal Minister for Labour, and Manpower, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah was briefed by MD, PIA and MD State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan in this respect. MD PIA, Ejaz Haroon informed the meeting that 169 out of 305 sacked employees have been reinstated. MD State Life Insurance Corporation told the Committee that 170 out of 208 sacked employees from State Life have been reinstated whereas 38-sacked employees have not contacted the Committee so far.
